Prof. Ahmed Hussein Ahmed Ashour

Graduated from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 1979, and was appointed at the Atomic Energy Authority in the Radiation Physics department, and obtained his degree of M.Sc. and Ph.D. in experimental Solid State Physics from Ain Shams and Cairo University, respectively. He was appointed to the position of Associate Professor in 1999 and Professor in 2008 in the Materials Science Lab, Radiation Physics Department, Atomic Energy Authority. Dr. Ashour supervised many Master’s and Ph.D. theses and has more than 80 international research publications in journals with more than 3300 citations and an h-index of 27, according to Scopus. Employment History: Head of training and development department, Head of Nuclear Technique, and Deputy General Director at Arab Atomic Energy Authority. He was the Head of the Radiation Physics department, head of the Central lab, and Vice Dean of the Radiation Division at the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology. During his work, he traveled to a scientific mission for two years in Italy, the Blognia LAMEL institute and La Sapienza University in Rome, on the subject (Fabrication and study of optical and electrical properties for solar cells using two techniques), “diffusion and ion implantation,” and this work was done in cooperation with the SERI institute in the USA.
