Professor of Material Science in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Galala University, Former Vice-dean for Postgraduate and Research Affairs, Faculty of Science, South Valley University, in Qena, Egypt. I received my doctorate in nanomaterials physics in 2009 at Anna University in Chennai, India. I have authored more than 100 research papers published in peer-reviewed Journals of international repute, with an h-index of 25. I received 13 scientific publication awards from my institution (2010-2024) for being a prolific researcher, publishing research papers in international journals. I was also an Erasmus Mundus Fellow at the Department of Chemical Physics, Lund University, Sweden (2010-2011). I supervised 10 MSc and 8 PhD students. I was granted the Partnership and Ownership initiative (ParOwn) for a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Nottingham, UK (2013). Currently, I serve as the focal point for the European Union’s Erasmus+ Program. I worked as the SVU coordinator for 5 projects funded by the EU (Tempus and Erasmus+ 2012-2024). I was a member of the Technology, Innovation, and Commercialization Office (TICO) team. My interest in science teaching stems from teaching recent scientific technologies, such as Nanotechnology and Renewable Energy, and from using modern educational methods.
