Prof. Wael Farouk Hamed El-Taibany

Dr. Wael El‑Taibany is Professor of Theoretical Physics at Mansoura University (Damietta Branch), where he has served in several senior academic and administrative roles, including Head of the Physics Department (2015–2018), Dean of the Faculty of Science (2018–2020), and Vice President of Damietta University for Education and Student Affairs (2020–2024). He earned his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Mansoura University in 2003 and was promoted to full Professor in 2013. His international experience includes research appointments at Waseda University, the University of Tokyo, and Tokyo University of Science, as well as academic service at King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia. Dr. El‑Taibany has supervised numerous postgraduate theses, reviewed more than 160 papers for over 35 international journals, and currently serves on Egypt’s Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors (2025–2028). His research record includes over 3,000 citations and an h-index of 32. He has been a member of the Advisory Board of the American Journal of Physics of Plasmas since 2018. Recognized for his contributions to science and higher education, Dr. El‑Taibany has received the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award (2005), Egypt’s State Incentive Award (2015), and the First‑Class Order of Medal of Excellence from President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi (2017).
