Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Ahmed Abdel Maksoud (M.I.A. Abdel Maksoud), currently an assistant professor at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA), has over 10 years of experience as a lab director for the X-ray Diffraction Lab. Further, He is tackling problems related to the synthesis, characterization, and manipulation of advanced materials, such as glass and polymer nanocomposites, for radiation shielding applications. Furthermore, Dr. Abdel Maksoud focused on using gamma radiation to enhance materials' structural, linear/nonlinear optical, and physical properties to meet the requirements of promising applications, such as optoelectronics. Besides, he has excellent skills in analyzing and interpreting the output data of various techniques, including UV-Vis, TGA, DTA, TMA, and VSM. In addition, his current research interests focus on the physical properties of magnetic materials and their promising applications. It is worth mentioning that he published 73 research and review articles in well-reputed international journals, was cited over 4800 times with an h-index of 34, and reviewed over 200 research papers for different Elsevier and Springer journals.
